Our country and communities are currently facing an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

At Mercer and Mercer, our priority is to keep clients and staff healthy and informed. We are monitoring updates from Public Health Ontario and are implementing policies and procedures to help control the spread of COVID-19 and to keep us operational.

We have taken some initial steps such as: having hand sanitizer available at the front desk and frequent disinfecting of the welcoming area, desk surfaces and building common areas.

Even with this, we ask your assistance over the coming weeks to contact us in advance of coming to the office for any one of the following:

  • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days
  • Have had contact with a known infected individual
  • Have symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty breathing and respiratory distress

Please call to notify our office and reschedule your appointment or to discuss tax information drop off alternatives.

While we are currently maintaining regular hours, we are monitoring the situation and will modify our hours as needed. We are also keeping abreast of communications from the federal government and the Canada Revenue Agency with respect to what impact if any our current situation will have on the tax filing season.

If you are concerned that you may have been exposed to or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 we recommend calling Tele-Health Ontario (1-866-797-0000).

We are privileged to serve you and our community and look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Blake Mercer and the Mercer and Mercer Team
